big problem

i have a bta that does not look very good. it was doing good and the clowns hosted within an hour and it seemed to have its spot in the tank. but after a day it started sliding under the rock it was on and coming out during the day then going back under at night. until it stopped coming out for good. it has been in the tank for 2 weeks now and the water tests come out good. i have 260watts over 55gal.
here is the big problem. we leave for a ski trip on saturday. i do not want to leave an anemone in questionable health for 5 days. i turned the rock it was under so it is out in the open now. i figure if it is fine then it will move to where it likes it. i do have the option of moving it into a 10gal tank that has 96watts and only has one fish which i can move to the 12g. but then i'm leaving an anemone in a 10g for 5 days.
what to do.

Check your ph levels in the morining afternoon and in the evening, get an average and then post it.
Also post your test scores, temp, alk, cal, trates, and lighting if you can.
It could be water related, acclimation related, lighting adjustment or just the clowns harassing it.

since i moved it it seems to be doing better. but it has only been less than an hour. the stupid clown will not leave it alone though. is there anything i can do about that. or just watch. don't have time to test the water again but will in a few hours and will post. i do know as of last night my nitrates 5, ammonia 0, nitrites 0, salinity 1.024, ph 8.2, temp 80, cal over 450.

was gone for a couple of hours and it seems better except for where the clown is rubbing on it. but it hasn't moved.

well the anemone has gone down the drain. came home from work today it was completely shriveled up. so i flushed it. i was hesitant in getting one in the first place, but once i got it and the clowns hosted i thought it was the coolest thing. but i will NEVER get another one.

shrivled does not mean dead.
Melted means dead.
If it didn't stink when you removed it then it may have still had a chance.
Sigh.

i didn't know melted was a term discribing anemones. this would have definatly been considered melted. you could barely tell the tenticles(if thats what you call them) from the foot. i also could not take the chance of it crashing the whole tank while i was gone for 5 days.
