big surpize during water change...

so i was doing a water change. and saw this floating in my tank.......
i live around them, but i just didnt expect it to come into my house and climb into my tank.......

no, its dead. i find them all the time at my work. i kept a couple of them as pets but they die quickly in captivity. they are not poisonous, but if they sting you, you will know..

.. i would just to have seen how my fish acted to him in the tank.......

I've had a bunch of scorpions get in the house this year. Never one in the tank, thank the lord. I guess i'm not a nice person, because if I see one it's gonna die.

I think this is the first time Im "Thankful" that I live in a colder part of the us...I could NOT handle living where things like that run free!

And i thought that finding spiders floating in my tank was bad.. But a freaking scorpion, i have no idea what i would have done.. Im a guy and i hate thase things. I would have freaked out, then call an exterminator, then called over a contractor to completely seal the house... heebidie jeebies..

I feel ya...I am not scared of to much...only two things..Spiders are one..NOt like "OMG A SPIDER"...I couldnt imagine my 6'3 frame jumping into a chair...More like "Oh God...CRUNCH"
Be glad when I get to AK..Spiders there as well though.Surely not as many as GA though..

Looks very similar to the scorpions I routinely get in my house. Apparently they are rather immune to normal pest control methods.
Nothing quite like cooking dinner and feeling one crawl across your foot, or having one in your shirt when you put it on (ouch).
