I don't know about where to get the tank made...
But for the floor I would put some support thats a lot of weight thats like 4500lbs you would need to support that...
Good luck.

With a tank that deep you will have to dive into it to move things like rocks around. Also if you do corals it will be difficult to get them close enough to the light. What kind of critters do you plan to keep in there? Isn't it like 700 gallons or something? How does one do 20 percent water changes on a tank that size? Lesley

Glasscages...they will custom build if they don't already stock it.
Support: get under the crawl space and reinforce the joist. Make sure length sides of the tank are resting on parrallel joist, preferably with one side of the tank sitting on a support wall foundation.

While you are under there, cut a hole in the floor directly under your tank. Put in a rubber membrance and a drain. Below pipe it out of the crawl space to the outside of the house. You can use this for water changes, and in case you ever have a flood, most of that volume will go out of the house and not on your floors.

Ive heard bad and good things about them myself and there over the phone service is horible. here are some thins about the diff of glass and acrylic
acrylic
is stronger and less likely to bust
lighter than glass
ALOT more expensive (priced out a 300 glass $1200 acrylic $ 5000
suposed to be clearer
can scratch
more custom shapes
glass
easeier to find
cheaper
can get custom tank made with starfire glass witch is clearer than acrylic
I put in quotes to perfecto, allglass and oceainic for custom prices but have yet to here anything back

Have to agree acrylic is stronger, better insulator than glass, lighter, but the reading that starphire is clearer isn't the honest truth.......Starphire is comparable to the clearness of acrylic........
Acrylic tanks will set you back a bit more, but I've gotten qoutes from probably from 1 of the top acrylic guys on a 300 done in 1" w/external overflow "coast to coast" and cost was $2500.00 drilled as well, so the price of $5k is really steep..... Check around there are tons of good builders and it might be worth the drive to pick the tank up to save a few dollars........
