Hello got a question the sumps that I'm looking at is too small. I could not fit a skimmer or anything elsa. How can I make the sump a better use. Could I drill a hole and let water pass through to another plastic tank like and extention so that I could put in a skimmer and heater. Please help very

With a little imagination, a drill & Dremel, some PVC pipe, fittings and a couple bulkhead fittings, you could certainly attach multiple sump/plastic tanks together. You want to try and prevent dead spots in any of the tanks, so watch your water flows.
Have you considered a large Rubbermaid container - lots of simple sump possibilities using them.

i got a 35 gallon rubbermaid sump on my 40 breeder. i have PLENTY of room for anything i want, and best of all, it only cost me 8 bucks!

Hey, lookie lookie, im back......ok what i did on my 100 is the water comes from the overflow, through a wet/dry and then into what would normally be the return area. from there it goes through a berlin skimmer into my refuguim and then has a drain (just gravity) into another tank that has eqiptment and holds the return pump. what im gonna do on my 200 that is yet to have anything is just have a 60 gal sump after the wet/dry that is built in, then just back to the tank via 2 return pumps. just get creative and let the ideas flow. plus brommer5 is way cool, he helped me a lot a while back (thanks again)

hey for the pics, is it hard to load them onto this site, if it is, i could e-mail em to someone and tey could do it, or just look, whatever is cool by me, i have pics from just before i filled mine, with everything pretty much hooked up.....i can also give explanations too on how everything works, its pretty cool.....able to close ball valves and drain the tank w/o having to siphon at all.. it also has quick connects for a hose to outside :D

Pat I could really use that e-mail with those pics. I am working on a system for my 240 right know. My e-mail is Justin@prula.com, or Jgreenberg@ayso76.org. Thanks, Justin
