Bio wheel conversion

I'm taking a Emperor 400 from a freshwater tank to add to my established saltwater tank. Since the freshwater bacteria will not survive in the salt, do I need to do anything before I move over the filter (i.e. clean the bio-wheels, sanitize them, etc.)

i would say soak them in a half vinegar half water solution for a little while

Soak all your plastic parts in water and bleach solution and buy new bio-wheels
