Bio-Wheel, necessary?

I have a Bio-Wheel in a 15 gallon tank. The tank was for a qt but I turned it into a display tank. I left the Bio-Wheel in it but am not sure if I need it. I have 20 lbs of Aragalive sand and 5 - 7 lbs of lr in this tank now. Isn't that enough for bio filtration or should I keep the Bio-wheel in?

i would keep it because it helps the bio filtration and it helps rid nitrates if you have any.
