Bio wheel question

I hope you're starting with some live rock. I'd say leave the cartridge in (forever) just flush it every week or two to remove any accumulated detritus. (i.e. use it for simple mechanical filtration, but don't replace it since new cartridges will have fresh carbon. I don't have any experience with turbo start, but, if I'd been given some to start a tank, I'd throw it out.
