Bio-wheel stopped spinning... ???

Yeah, I have no idea why it would. I've had this filter for a long time, always spun.. recently purchased a new wheel and everything was great... spinning away... then it became intermittent.. then just plain stopped spinning. Thought maybe that there was some salt build up or something, so i cleaned the ends of it and it's little perch it sits on...
still the same result. Any ideas on what would make it stop spinning? There's more than enough water flow and it should be spinning...

when you cleaned the filter you had to pull the lock piece and stem where the water strikes the wheel out, heres a quick answer: did you put it back? The right way? There are micro holes where the water shoots out from, if you put it back backwards it will not spin the right way. The water flow from the pump will flow underneath the wheel but chances are it wont spin the wheel.
If that is not the solution to the problem, it has to be a block somewhere you are not seeing. If your pump is off, can you freely and loosely spin the wheel? If so, see solution #1. That has to be it. Those damn wheels are a pain sometimes. I still like mine though.
Hope that helps, if not you may have to check with customer service department. good luck!

It actually really isn't uncommon or abnormal. I seem to recall it even in the instructions or something....

Yeah, it spins freely when I move it.. baffles me as to why it won't... I've re-insterted the wheel the right way.. I guess I'll just play around with it a bit to see if I can get it spinning again. :)
Thanks!!
