Biocube woos

Anyone else having problems with their Biocube? We got ours about 5 mos ago...since then, we have gone thru several bad ballasts and bulbs. Seems like every week to two weeks we have an issue with this set up. We are new to saltwater, but I really don't think we should be having this many problems. Can anyone give me some advice or feedback before I scrap the whole thing...Thanks, Donna

Did you buy it from a LFS? My brother-in-law had a bad ballast on his 29 BioCube. The LFS had purchased extra ballast because of some problems with BioCube ballast. He would exchange the bad for a good one and than the shop would send the bad one back to Oceanic. That way the customer wouldn't have to wait for Oceanic to respond. Also, no turned tanks on the LFS part. I have had my BioCube for 15 months now with no problems. I have changed out the bulbs once in that time. Good Luck.
