bioload question

Of course i have seen it discussed about how swf makes you purchase $75 for free shipping and this may cause a bioload issue. so i ask if i buy and add these all at once will this be bad for the bioload? 5 peppermint shrimp - flame angel - cleaner clam - 3 feather dusters - 6 sand sifting crabs. Thanks! BTW it is a 45g long tank.
quick pic too =)

i would scratch every thing except the angel, peppermint shrimp and feather dusters....in less the clam and crabs are for decoration they will just add to the waste...........i would not go with the angel with so little growth on your lr though
just my $.02

well what im wondering is will adding all those at once be too much for the bioload. i dont really know how much fish/inverts/corals i can add at once without stressing the fish. the guy at the lfs(now we all know how much we can trust the lfs :notsure: ) said the bioload only really depends on the ammount of fish and not inverts. BUT of course we dont listen to the lfs do we? So i guess what i am asking is how much fish/inverts can i add at the same time without it being a problem? thanks again. o btw my lr does have growth u just cant see it(crappy cam) here is a closer picture.

Actually, I agree that you can pretty much go ahead with the inverts. Their contribution to the bio-load is not significant enough to cause a problem.
I would not add more than one fish at a time though. I also agree w/ reefer that angels do not belong in young tanks. They like alot of rock with mature growth to thrive.

well the problem i am running into is, i want clowns but am waiting to get an anemonie for them, which means i need a protein skimmer, and i dont have money for a skimmer right now, i will be putting flame angel in my tank and so it seems like i should do it now. can anyone suggest a different fish to put in my tank. i recently havent found any other fish i want! thanks again

Let me give you some advice. Be patient, dont worry so much about the fish you put into the tank untill you have the equipment to support it. If I were you first I would fill it with live rock. Live rock is essential in a reef tank. The next step would be a protein skimmer. After that I would order an anemone a couple clowns and a comfortable chair cause your gonna have the start of a beautiful thing to look at.

ugh okay i know it takes time. i am currently selling stuff to get a protein skimmer... i need like 30 bux on a swf order to make it have free shipping and am wondering what fish to put in it since a flame angel requires older tanks.

Go ahead and get 2 aquacultured false perc clowns. They don't need an anemone, and will do fine without one.
Royal Grammas like more rockwork than what you have....
Don't try the flame angel until you have more live rock and your tank is older....
And yes.....a "GOOD" protein skimmer is a must.....:happyfish

Most people think anenomes arent worth the effort. They can move around your tank after years of being in 1 spot and destroy all the corals in their path. It isnt really a good idea to add one to a tank less than 6 months old (or so ive heard). and almost every type of clown will host in a coral instead of the anenome
