Vaz how many gallons is your tank?
there really isnt a formula, I have always gone with the idea of one fish per 12 gallons

IMO, the acceptable bioload question is really based on the capacity of your biological filter. The larger your capacity (e.g. 40 lbs of LR vs 20 lbs; 4 in DSB vs 6 in; etc), the more of a load you can handle. But don't confuse this issue with the space issue, which is also important. Some fish require more space than others due to their swimming habits and lifestyles. Best to ask around on this board and lots of reading. :)

Vaz, there is a similar post in the reef section entitled "Poll: does any oone use the 1 inch of fish per gallon method". You might want to check it out.
