Biological Filter

I am thinking of adding a biological filter of my 125 fo tank, I have a w/d with a protein skimmer, also a Eheim canister with a uv. the tank has a heavy bio load. does anyone have any info on what types work and do they do what they say they do? Thanks in advance.

Emperor filters and Wisper brand do good. With a tank that big I don't know where you would get one big enough. Could put on several of the bigger ones.

Why do you want another biological filter? Are you getting ammonia or nitrite readings? More biological filtration like a canister will only lead to high nitrates.

the ammonia is a little high and I think it was from my over feeding, I have increased my clean up crew and cut back on the feeding. I will see if this helps. thanks for the info.
