I got a great deal at my LFS today. I have set up what I believe to be a great sump on my 46g. Forget my other post titled "Cheeeesy sump". I believe I've done it right.
I took a used 20g high tank and put two plexiglass partitions in. One partition will be used for intake through a "sock" of sorts that will serve as my mechanical filter, also there will be a protien skimmer in this area (Has anyone ever delt w/the Excalibur brand?)
Then into the largest area containing: 20lb LS, 10lb LR rubble, and soon some caulerpa(sp??) vegitation. (Can I light this with regular "grow lights")???
The third chamber contains a heater and a 500gph Mag Drive pump w/prefilter.
I am always open to, and hope for, all intelligent criticism.
