Bird Wrasse Reef safe?

IMO Bird wrasses are not reef safe. they can be very aggressive and will decimate your hermits and other inverts. That long beek is designed to pull things out of shells. They will also eat small fish.
Other than that there is no real threat to corals and such. But the may flip up large mushrooms making sure there is not a tasty morsel hiding under it. I could not find any info giving any real good reason for them not to be reef safe. But personally I have seen how aggressive they can be.
