Birdsnest question

I just bought a Birdsnest SPS coral and is now the 3rd day in my tank. It was pink when it was at the LFS, but now it's a bit brown/tan. My lighting is a 400w 6500k MH with 2 55w actinic PC. Would that be the difference? I think the lighting at the LFS is 20000k. The coral is placed in the middle of the tank.

Its just the difference in lighting. From my experience the pinks in the birdsnest will actually be brighter under a 10k bulb as apposed to a 20k. Give it time to adjust to your lighting and I'm sure it will color up.

I agree, sometimes (MH) or too much light can be as detramental as too little light for some coral. PLease keep in mind I AM NOT, IN NO WAY an expert BUT, by seeing enough coral under different lighting, I have seen this before.
Also, by being here for a few years, you hear it all.. sort of cool huh??
