I recently bought a new dogface puffer to replace on that had died soem time ago, and the new one decided to try to make my percs dinner. My large clown had some chunks taken out of its fin, which I think will be fine, but my middle clown has a large flesh chunk removed from the base of its tail. It looks severe, but after I set up a new tank just for the clowns and treated it with some melafix (that's all I had around), they all seem to be acting normally. The one with the severe wound is starting to eat again and is swimming normally. The question I am asking is whether or not the clown can be expected to live long term. The wound is about the size of a pencil eraser and I can see the meat inside of it.
