Black Cap

Have a 46 gallon bow front with about 90 lbs of live rock and 40 lbs of ls. Currently have a long nose hawk, yellow striped maroon, tiger watchman, purple fire fish, dragon wrasse, and a six line wrasse. Also a couple of mushrooms and polyp corals. Thinking about adding a black cap gramma... Should I or should I stay away...

Well, sorry about the late post, but I have been gone for a couple weeks, but here is what I can tell you because I have one in my 50 gallon. They are a bit skiddish but they have one heluva attitude. Mine seems to be extremely healthy and hasn't given me any trouble but this isn't usually the case. They can be extremely prone to diseases. However they are quite colorful and make a good addition to reef tanks. But, seeing as you have all those fish in there already, I would suggest against getting the fish because it is very territorial and that is alot of fish in a 46 gallon and most of them are very active. This will disrupt the living quarters of the Basslet. My Basslet has gone after my 6-line wrasse for intruding into his home. He seems to be alright with my Percula clown and I plasn on adding a yellow-headed Jawfish and Algea Blenny. But I would suggest that you stick to the fish you already have.
