ive been offered to buy a pair of black clowns from a friend, ive heard there really rare, and im really considering gettin them however i noe little about em, are they aggressive? and what things should i know about them, also give me your opinions on whether or not its a good deal or not, theyll cost me 50 dollars australian, and it usually cost about 60 aus dollars for a pair of regular percs here. i have a pic but i cant put it up cause it says invalde attachment specified, if anyone can tell me why it does that ill put it up other than that i can email it to u if u really want to see

Black variant ocellaris originate from Darwin Australia, so they are local for you. Wild caught ones, however, are hard to come by, and could be considered rare, even for you. Captive born ones are readily available in the states, and since some CB come from AU, I would imagine they're readily available to you too. They are not anymore agressive then orange ocellaris.
FWIW, those pictured are very nice, fully barred and very little (if any) color on the noses.

lol...if you dont want to buy them i will...only bad thing is aint in that region of the world :(

lol its not that i dont want them its jus im soo unsure cause i really had my mind on gettin some regular clowns and im hoping that i can have both kinds and they will still get along

The black ones are absolutely gorgeous and have the same personality as orange percs

My neighbor has 2 orange and 3 black ones and said that they all get along... I personally don't know though. They sure are nice looking.

The only clowns I've had a problem getting along with outher clowns is Gold Stripe Maroons. They have a bad attitude problem with outher clowns the black on the outher hand are verry docile.

How big is his tank? He may have a big problem on his hands when they mature (if they haven't already).

i really wanted a pair of blacks pretty bad but i was scared to get them cuz i had 4 orange ocellaris die so i didnt want to spend $50/fish...so i went and got a maroon a few days ago...walked into a ***** in ATLANTA for 15.99 and they had 3 of them i was sooooo MAD but only thing that justified me not getting was they all had ICK every clown fish they had in the store had it and not just a little it was bad
