Black Crab

About a week ago I bought two crabs. They were in a tank marked Emerald Crabs. The first one is an emerald crab. The second one the LFS guy scooped up was marked as a Emerald Crab but is black instead of red or green. He is about 2''-2 1/2'' across but looks almost exactly like a standard Emerald Crab. Im thinking its a Black Mithrax but there is no clear google pic of it. Is there black emerald crabs or did I buy something else? Either way it doesnt matter because its just going to be Mantis food. Sorry no pic.

easiest way to tell an emrald is the fury legs....i have become somewhat an expert on crabs i seem to have all kinds of varieties in my tank. i have removed alot somewhere around 30. I have not seen a black one yet but i did have one that was so dark green it appeared black. and it was a bad crab. sorry i am not much on all the scientic names. it was just bad
