Not sure if algae is considered a hitchiker or not but i need ot know what the crap this stuff is. It dominates my 18g, the same one i'm hoping to turn into a reef tank. Nothing eats it, i have hermits and a huge zebra snail in there and they don't like it.
It's black, and it's sorta fuzzy. When it's on the sand, you can pull it up and usually it comes up in bits and pieces of 'carpet' connected to sand. I can't get rid of it and i don't want to add any corals until it's gone.
Help?
