Black Ich?

I recently added a Powder Blue Tang to my tank. He does not appear to be very stressed or exhibiting odd behavior. However, he has not been eating too well yet (this is his 2nd day in the system so I assume that this is common). However, I was taking a very close look at him and noticed extremely tiny black spots on the lines in his fins. I don't want to jump to conclusions but I do not know if this may be Black Ich. He is not scratching on any of the decorations, his color looks good and he is not breathing rapidly so should I be concerned? Could this just be part of the veins in his fins?
If this is Black Ich will it go away on it's own? I have been told that is not as deadly as some of the other parasite infections.

from your description, it doesn't sound like black ich, but you need to better describe it. Black ich is a fluke-like organsim and its not as quickly harmfull as the ich your thinkin about. However it doesn't go away on it own and if left untreated may overcome the fish.
You happen to have a-close up picture, or an image, or can you elminate that these spots are not part of the color pattern of this fish.

I do not have any pictures. Is Black Ich common on Powder Blue Tangs? On average, how big should the spots be and are they usually found only on the fins? What is the recommended treatment - Freshwater Dip?
