Black Longspine Sea Urchin

I have had this sea urchin for about a month now. I read that if it starts loosing it's spines, it is not doing well.
It seems to be just fine but I did notice that it lost a spine the other day while it was moving by a power cord and today it lost 1 more when it was between 2 live rocks. Again, it is moving around just fine. Should I be concerned?

i have had one and it does loose its spines i was like 10 when i had one so i dont remember what really happenes to them but i know they shed their spines all over the tank.

Check your water quality and tank chemistry. Urchin losing their spines are a prime indicator in a deterioration of your water quality. There spines are there only defence.
