Sry about the pics. I was at a local fish store and seen this fish and thought is this a onyx cause the black touches all the stripes or just a True with a lot of black. They have it listed as a True.
Black Onyx or just another True??

Looks like an onyx to me, but then again, many true have bold dark spots.
I had the same question a while ago and I was told my true perc wasn't a true perc nor an onyx but a grad B picasso. I sent an email to the ORA people hoping that they might know about it more and the replied saying that indeed it would be considered a grad B picasso. In the pics he's the one on the top left side
Maybe if you get it and when it grows it might change it's colors a bit, getting bolder lines. That's what's seeming to happen to my female, she had any black on her and now it's starting to take over her body
