I've always wanted to try one of the black clowns...But I've been a little scared to because I have two ocellaris and one perc. I'm afraid they would kill each other :(
Are you having good luck with yours so far?

I had 4 false percs in a 46 gal. tank all did great, no problems....then I moved them into a 110 gal. tank everything was great. Then one of my power heads fell and one of my black clowns was stuck under sand. He died so im down to 3
cuz its such a big tank the smallest false perc is alone swimming in the middle of the tank and these 2 just hang out together in the corner. I want to get another black clown, but I think its to late.....maybe for the other one though...they might get to gether....but thats not til a little later down the line.

I had two black clowns in my 55. I got them at the same time from the same place, one was alot smaller, but the bigger one still kept trying to kill the smaller one (literally). So I moved the smaller one to my 75 with my perc or ocellaris (not sure what it is
). They have been together for about 4 months with no problems so far. They don't pay any attention to each other at all.

My bet is that they are both Ocellaris.....one a black variant. They should get along fine.

O yeah they do get all black because when i first got this one( i got them both at the same time RIP lil buddy
) his whole face was orange but now you can see that the black is starting to cover his whole face....I heard that as they mature they will get all black...the other one was all black completely....when i get them they had them listed as black false percs @ 40.00 each so for the pair it wasnt a bad price.
