Black Sand?

I saw a tank here the other day that used black sand. Now I cant find it again. Where do you buy this stuff?

from the store i have it in mine. i belive it is not alive but after a month or so it will become live with the benfical bacteria

Look for arg alive(think thats how you spell it) indo-pacific black. Not all black BUT its buffering. You can mix in some tahitian moon/(other trade names) to blacken it up more. What i plan on doing to my 20 long once i finish procuring/building bits.

I love my black sand. I bought the dry tahitian moon sand, but they do sell a live sand that comes in water.

its not alive when u buy it. I realy brings out the fish colors
