Black spots on PB tang

I have a PB tang on a 50 G tank. Last night I noticed my banded shrimp cleaning him off. Looking closer I noticed white spots all over his body. This morning I spotted bunch of blak spots all over him including its fins. Will probably get some ick med for him and treat my whole tank. Any advised

try hypo salinity, but regardless of what people say only drop it down to 1.014 salinity, very slowly i might add, because if you drop it any lower than that it's a waste of salt, time and it does the same thing as if you dropped it any lower. also you drop it lower it stresses the fish out more.

Powder Blues do not do well with copper. What size is the Powder Blue? What size is your set-up? THey require planty swmming space and are easily stressed in smaller set-up.
The stress may have brought on the disease since it was present in your system. Stress isone cause for fish to come down with ich.
A very small Powder Blue can live in a 50 for a brief period.
Whenever you have and ich outbreak it is always best to try and fing out what contributed to the animals weakened state.
So you knbow PB tangs do not have a good survival rate in the home aqaurium.
Just trying to help and JMO
Best of luck and keep us posted.
