Black sun coral

Thought i would put up some pictures of our black sun coral. very cool and not nearly as hard to keep as its made out to be.

i got a black a while back, and recently it has decided not to open during feedings. beautiful coral when open though :)

hehe I was already drooling and ready to buy :) It sure looks a lot like Duncan. I wonder if they are related.

Do the polyps look green when open like in the pic, or are they solid black???
Very pretty coral!

Awesome sun coral! That is one I have yet to add to my collection, unfortunately.

It's not hard to keep, but it is high maintenance. They need fed so stinkin much! I would remove mine about twice a week, put it in a bowl of tank water and target feed each polyp. I did it that way cause I didn't want all that extra food in my tank.
Then I gave him away.
Beautiful coral though.

I feed mine once every three days. I'll feed the tank first and it will start to open up. By the time the tank is fed it is fully open. Makes target feeding much easier. I have a pretty good size cleanup crew so it is not bad at all.
