they tend not to do well in captivity, as they are from colder water, and do not ship well. I have not seen anyone personally have long term success with blackfoots, which is too bad, they are awesome looking fish.

they are rarely available in my area, but I think they had them available on this site recently. I am no expert on the topic, but I dont think they turn up often.

there are people here with more knowledge of these lions than me, hopefully they will chime in. I have never owned one myself. you could also try to search for threads I remember one on he black foots fairly recently.
