Or too much light, bad water conditions, high temps, etc. There are lots of reasons a coral can bleach. Did something bleach in your tank?

anytime a coral stresses, it can bleach.

oh...would a 96 watt light fixture be ok on a 20G?

I'm assuming this is pc lighting? It would be ok for most softies and corals that don't need a lot of light.
