Blenny Question

I am currently cycling a 55g, Since I have a month or so I was researching fish. I'm new to the hobby, and would like to find out more about the blenny. Does it require anything special? do they grow very large? etc.

Welcome to the board!! Which blenny are you looking at? There are many different blennys out there, I don't know of any off hand that get more than 5". Depending on which blenny you get, but most blenny's need alage.

The blenny in question is the "lawnmower". I read an article about them, and was wanting more info.

i am pretty new too, but the i do have some fish. 3 scooter blennies, in my 55 gallon. they are great! they arent really blennies, they're dragonets, ut they are eay to take care of and i highly recommend them. They arealso really fun to watch. 3 will get along in your tank, and they are relativly small (a few inches max).

Be careful with the lawnmower blenny. Many will not eat anything but algae and will starve in a new tank. I've been reading other BB's where people buy them to clean up algae, and then starve because they won't eat frozen or normal aquarium food.
