"blind" foxface

I have a question regarding my foxface. I have had this fish for over a year and haven't had any real problems with it yet...but now I am pretty sure that it is blind. It swims the tank and runs into the ends of the tank when it does and occasionally runs into the LR (this could be understood, as the rock has been rearranged in the last month or so).
Is there any cause for a fish to suddenly become blind? My parameters all check out (ammo=0, nitrites=0, nitrates=10-20, temp=78, pH=8.2, calcium hasn't been tested in a while, but has always been within the normal range). Any ideas?

He doesn't eat like he used to, but he will pick up flakes that hit the sand. He used to be a very voracious eater, usually the first thing to hit the food. I am stumped!

What sized tank is he in? The 55 and the 29 in your profile are small tanks for 1+ year old fox face. He could be trying to find his bearings now that the rocks have been moved.

I actually had a puffer that went blind, I think from the stress of a move. I had to feed him by hand for about a month! he was 100% BLIND. Then as suddenly as he lost his sight it came back!

I agree with Sep. I had a foxface in a 55 when I first started out. Once it reached a certain size it began swimming into the glass and rocks(about the 1 year mark). I attributed it to stress from being in too small of a tank and gave him to a member of my local reef club. His new home was a 210 and within two days he was swimming and eating normal. That was a couple of years ago and the foxface is still going strong in the larger tank I'd look into finding him a new home.

Sorry to hear about your Foxface. When I get my tank going that is the fish that I plan on being my "center peice". I have a blind Siberian Husky that after a couple of days all of his other sences really increased and he does great! I know I'm talking about a dog but I was wondering how big will a Foxface get once an adult?
