I have a porcupine puffer that i recently moved into a new tank and he all of a sudden got 2 fairly large blisters over his nostrils. I did test all levels in my tank and it appears that only the nitrates are high...no ammonia or anythign else. Any help will be appreciated

Have you noticed if the Pork is rubbing its face against the glass as it swims up and down. A lot of Porks do this and it causes what you are seeing, this happens when they are new in a tank and are not quite settled in. Oneof my large Porks still does this from time to time but not enough to damage its face as it did in the beginning when it was new (its face healed up fine when it quit using its face to clean the glass for me.

Katie; I almost was once when my 150 spring a leak. Let my profile be a lesson to you all do not become obssessed with this hobby unless your kids are no longer at home and your wife has her own hobby which annoys you so that she lets you have yours to keep you quiet. My wife likes to carve wood (boring) and she is gone quite a bit doing volunteer work with the boy scouts (from my sons younger days- he grew out of it she didn't).
