Blue Acro

Did anyone buy SWF Blue Acro (Buy one get one free)? I got mine yesterday and it looks bleached. (It looks white in the picture w/blue tips so I'm not sure what it's supposed to look like.) The tips are still blue and all but I haven't seen polyps come out yet after 1 day. If they don't come out today should I be concerned? I also don't want to contact SWF yet because I'm not sure if it's dead or not (Still blue tips).

I would contact them anyway, to let them know of your concerns. Is the flesh missing from the bleached looking areas? Can you see the actual skeleton and the tiny holes the polyps come out of? My stuff is usually out(polyps) within a couple of hours at the most. Good luck.

On one of the pieces, it looks like there is very little tissue. (Even the tissue is white though) I will have to get pictures and post them up tonight. When I placed them into my tank, the smaller of the two had the waxy stuff that most SPS produce so I took that as a good sign. On the Damaged one I placed it not into direct flow but close to a powerhead in hopes to encourage it to come out. Still have not seen polyps on either of them though. Will try feeding Oyster eggs tonight and see if that helps any.. It's hard to describe w/o a picture, I will try and get them up ASAP though!

I wouldn't worry about feeding them right now. Make sure Alk, Cal, Mg are all at optimal levels.
