I HAVE READ BLUE LEG HERMITS AND ASTREA SNAILS ARE GOOD FOR REEF TANK HOWEVER OUR 2 LFS SAY LEAVE OUT HERMITS THEY WILL FIGHT FOR ASTREA SHELLS ALSO IF THEY ARE A GOOD MIX HOW MANY OF EACH FOR A 90 GALLON REEF

THe blue leg hermit are a little more agreesive then the scarlet leg hermits. The blue legs will kill the astrea to the shells, but so will the scarlet hermits. But the scarlet are less aggresive in that prespective. You could always throw in some larger empty shells in. As for how many of each I couldn't tell you but on this site they sell reef cleaner packages which should give you a dea of how much to get.

Blue legs will kill snails for the shells. They'll also kill each other. Get scarlet hermits instead.... they have a much better temperment. I really don't know how many to get for a 90 gallon, maybe someone else could tell you.
