What should I feed my blue hippo.........he's new to the tank yesterday and I gave him some brine shrimp today and he didnt eat it.
What should I be feeding him.

Brine shrimp is basically junk food for fish, even if it's "enriched." Try not to feed that very often. Try some mysis shrimp, Emerald Entree, Formula Two flakes/pellets, Spectrum pellets (the best!) and algae sheets. If he/she is being picky, you can soak the food in Kent Garlic X-treme or something similar. (Garlic often entices picky fish to chow.)

have had mine two years and have fed him almost exclusively algae sheets and ocean nutritions formula 2. Of course he eats anything else put in the tank for other fish including frozen mysis shrimp, emerald entree, squid, zooplankton, you name it. prime reef flakes. he's a pig but everyday I clip two algae sheets (1 per tang. about 1x2" each of which they can actually eat.).

How do you put algae sheets in the tank.......do you clip it to a clip with a suction cup, like for lettuce?

they love it. My Hippo will eat anything I put in though. But I had her in QT for 4 weeks before adding her to the DT, and it did take her a while to eat "everything". She would just eat the algea sheet but by the time QT was over she was eating, flake, pellets, mysis, and algea sheets. She even ate krill the other day, when I was feeding my BTA.

I use these, yes suction cup on the other side to stick to the glass
