He could also just be stressed. What size tank and what are your water parameters?

My Coral Beauty was doing that too when he first arrived two weeks ago. No white spots have developed. My LFS told me he was probably adjusting to the different water parameters. SG, PH, etc. I bought him a cleaner shrimp and he loves getting cleaned. Still watching like a hawk for parasites though.

The nitrates are pretty high and could definitely be stressing him. Do some water changes and try to get them down.
Is this in a 50g? If so, that is the nitrate problem. Without excellent filtration or skimming, a blue tang will hurt water quality in atank that small.
Also, the size of the tank is probably stressing him out. 4 foot long tank minimum and preferably a 6 foot long tank for a blue tang.

Hippos are one of the most likely fish to get "ich". Spots can be hard to see sometimes, look closely at pelvic fins and tail.

The cleaner will take care of some of the ich, but it wont make it totally go away. You best bet would be to set up a QT tank and do hypo

Trying to see if it is the same tank. If so, the problems from the aquarium in that thread carry over to this one.
Wow...this thread was just from a week ago....
Fumanchu, are you talking about the 55 gallon freshwater tank you had? Have you converted it to a saltwater?
