Blue Hippo Spots

I have treated my Blue Hippo for Ick when I brought it home. It seems to be fine but on it's belly are what looks like a clear colored spot where a spot of ick was. This fish seems to be afraid of everything even going for a bit of food it will then dart back into the rock for protection. It will often have a large white circle appear on it's side but these do disappear rather quickly.
Are these spots typical?

The blue hippo tangs are very disease prone. Any little bit of stress or malnutrition you'll start to see spots (unless theyve been in the tank for awhile or really healthy when you get them). Keep up the high quality foods, they are very shy fish and love to hide and play dead. The spots unfortunately are far too often typical but not a sign of good health.

i have a 3 year old hippo in my 125 and she is still a little shy, but has gotten much better the longer i've had her. she hides from new additions for a day after they get into the tank, and she shows her dominance in the tank for a few hours as well. i feed my fish a very healthy and varied diet and she is still a little pale on the front of her face in spots. also, you should expect your fish to be pale for a short time after the lights come on in the morning. once youre fish goes into the DT and gets used to its surroundings it will start acting and looking more normal, IME.

tangs are algae eaters by nature, though mine will eat whatever she can. make sure it has plenty of algae to eat. i've had good experience with seafood salad and nori sheets.
