Blue hippo tang sting!

I just got stung by my Blue Hippo tang and I was wondering if anybody knew if the defense spine from the tang tail is venomous to humans!!! Let me know as soon as possible!!! I literally tried to get the fish out of my tank today and who knows what would of happened next. Thank you.

The hippo tang isn't venomous. It's spines are extremely sharp and it can hurt if you get nicked by it, but it's one of the tangs that is either not venomous or who's venom is so low in potency that it would only cause you minor discomfort. Just clean the cut so you don't get infected and make sure the fish is ok. He's really the only one who would get seriously hurt in an encounter between you two.
