My Blue Hippo recently developed a white spot the size of a dime on his side near his tail. It is like he faded in this one area. Yesterday when I got home this fading is now seen around his mouth. It looks like he has bleached out a little bit. Does anyone know what this may be...Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Sounds to me like it may possibly be Head and Lateral Line Erosion.
Can you post a picture?
Take a look at the fish in the Diseased Fish Thread at the top of this forum and fish there with HLLE [Head and Lateral Line Erosion].
