Does anyone else out there have a blue hippo tang? I purchased a pair of hippos about 3 months ago from my LFS. Ever since then they have done nothing but give me a constant headache. These fish seem like they are prone to every disease out there. They came down with ich about a week after I got them. I treated them and they started doing good again, until they starting coming down with HLLE. I feed these fish 2 times a day with food soaked in Zoe and Zoecon, and also feed broccoli every other day soaked in Zoe and Zoecon. The HLLE actually started looking a little better, and now both of them have come down with ich again. Has anyone else experienced this many problems with this type of fish? This makes me want to just change my entire tank over to perculas. I have never once had a problem with any of my perculas, I have 3 of them.
All of my water parameters test perfect.

I've had one for about 2 months and i have never had any probs with them. i have read a lot of books on these guys and it said they pick up deasises very fast! its like a magnet! i dont know why you have had soooo many probs with these guys. Maby you should ask this question at the deasieses and treament form...just a thought.

Tangs in general are prone to everything. However I had one for 3 years and never had a problem. Unfortunately I have only had one disease in all my years-(wiped out everyone) chnaged all my stuff and started over, so I really couldn't help out other then to say a friend used kent rxp and got rid of her ick and it never came back. Perhaps you may find more info in the disease forum.
