Blue jaw trigger and Inverts

From what I have read they say that the blue jaw/throat is the only reef safe trigger. Is anybody keeping one with snails, or crabs. I'm deciding between a trigger and a clean up crew.
Thanks

triggers are not reef safe nor are they safe with crustacean or invertebrates. their teeth are designed to bite thru shells and corals. this includes the blue throat (sargassum trigger). This is also a deep water trigger that does not do well in aquariums - they are hard to keep and often don't last very long.

I currently have a 150 gal reef w/ Niger trigger and know several people with them in their reef tank. He/she has yet to bother anything including shrimp, crabs, snails, etc... Blue jaw are the same way and there are a couple of other triggers that are reef safe. Buy them small though less agressive that way. I bought a LARGE Blue JawBlue Throat trigger and had to take him back. he was nipping at every fish in the tank. The Niger lets my shrimp clean him, will eat pellet, flake, and some brine and krill I would get one if I were you

I have a blue throat in my reef. - I'm going to be posting pictures in a few minutes. - Back to the point. - He doesn't touch my verts or my corals. - He is an outstanding member of the reef community.
I also have a very strange reef though.
I have a Eel - Blue ribbon eel
I have a Lion - Fuzzy Dwarf
I have a trigger - Blue throat
All of which are " NOT " reef safe. - They dont bother anything in my tank. - Mind you I have no small fish with the exception of a few damsels...but they dont mind hurt anything.
Based on my experience *I could be wrong* its a mixture of set up and luck of the draw. - However something tells me if I have 3 predators in my tank, and non of them bother my fish or corals... that it comes down to set up and layout.
I'd add one if you want one. - Worst case you catch it and bring it back to the store.
