IMO; a blue jaw (blue throat, males are prettier and they usually will eat inverts when bigger), sargassum (IMO, the best bet, but $$), or a crosshatch ($$$$) are as reef safe as any trigger. Never a guarantee, though; but these are your best bets IMO. The "safe" doesn't refer to the inverts that are usually in a reef tank. This has been a big topic lately; I haven't had a reef since I moved, but will soon;and did have a great one for years. There are so many reef safe fish that are hardly ever mentioned; like anthias and many wrasse, no name a few. I just wouldn't chance it. I may be in the minority on this, but you can't take the "trigger" out of any trigger. Someone, somewhere has kept just about every trigger successfully in a reef; but that's usually the exception.
