Blue leg hermit carrying eggs

Today I was glued to the front of my tank when I noticed a shell-less blue leg hermit being chased my another hermit. Upon closer inspection I noticed the shell-less one was carrying eggs with his/her back legs. I'm positive it was eggs. Can anyone chime in? Will these survive? Is this normal? Can I raise the fry in a seperate tank?

I'm in the same boat. My cleaner shrimp has blue green eggs under its hind parts. Cant find any help on this one. My thought would be that the spawn won't last in a regular tank because the fry will be plankton for long time.

I have a 2 gallon tank and heater I was going to use but I haven't seen the egg carrier since. I think my cbs or my shrimp goby had a snack. I should have plucked the egg carrier from the system and segregated her to the smaller tank.... Lesson learned.
