I just got some blue leg Hermit Crabs to start my clean up crew but I do Have a ??? about them and hope you that keep them can help me out.
I know that the Hermit Crabs need to find new shells as they grow and I see that empty shells are for sale on this site But the crabs I have are about a 1/2 to 1/4 now the shells that are for sale here are rated at a 1/2 in. what is everyone doing to make sure they have enuff new shells so that there crabs can get a new home when needed??

How big do blue leg Hermit Crabs end up geting???? Ive never seen any much biger than what I have now.
Or is it that there so cheep to buy you just buy new when you run low???

I'm not sure how big they get. As for the shells, you can just go to a craft store and buy sea shells there. That's what alot of people do, just make sure you boil the shells before you put them in your tank. I boil mine for 20 mins.
