Blue Leg Hermits Fighting, HELP!

I have had 2 Blue Leg Hermits, 1 large Scarlet, and a Green Emerald all living in a 29g Biocube with no problems. Today, I added 4 more Blue Legs and the 2 that were already in there went right after them and tried to kill them!! I have to keep seperating them, the 2 want to kill and of the 4 new ones they can get ahold of!! Is there anything I can do to keep them from killing each other besides putting them in seperate tanks? Will I ever be able to get other new ones to all live together without this problem?

Do you have spare shells in there? That's probably what they are after.

my girlfriend picked some up and is bringing them over tomorrow.

It's the shells... I had the same problem before. My Hermits where going after each other. I lost probably 10 - 15 of them before I figured it out. Bought a handfull of empty shells at the LFS, threw them in, and now no more problems... Well with them killing each other anyways. They still go after my turbo snails...

oh man thats probably what happened to my snail!!!! They killed a hitchiker!!
I hope everyone else survives until tomorrow!

My hermits are always trying to kill each other, and i have several spare shells of different sizes for them. They are just plain evil, but atleast they are cheap.
