Hea when we first got them.. they were eating and moving all over the tank..
now they are sleeping a lot more .. or just not moving.. is this normal..
are they more nocturnal?
we turn or lights on at 11 and and off at 11 pm?
they are just stock fluorescent lights... nothing special...

i have 2 and they are up and down. wont see them for a day and then they will be out all day. mine are always more active at night.

By nature crabs are nocturnal just because they feel safe in the dark. Mine do not recognize artificial day to artificial night so it seems, I see mine scurring around at all times lights on or off. I also believe that their habits/and rituals are on the lunar cycle earths gravity all that stuff I dont think lighting will dictate normal from not normal.

I will definatly take some pics tonight.
I too was suprised when I put 2 crabs in about 2 weeks ago. They were 2 sally lightfoots, all of a sudden like 3 days later it was like a tumble weed rolling across the sand a shell from one of the crabs. Apparently he or she had molted. I thought that was cool.
