blue legged hermits reef safe?

The title says it all. I can get two free blue legs if I want, and I plan on starting a leathers, and shrooms style reef tank. Would these critters be ok? I also have a 10 gal tank, a couple of snails, 10#lr, and a starfish. All compatible?
Thanks for the info

I personally avoid getting blue leg hermits because they tend to fight for shells alot and even if you put extra shells in there, they still kill the snails and take the snails' shells. But overall, they are reef safe and I guess you could still consider them compatible with other inverts.

Thanks for the info. That was the type answer I was looking for. Most site will say they are reef safe, but will not tell you stuff like "hey they'll kill your snails for their shells". I don't think my little 10 gal can handle the mess a dead snail would bring.

When I started my 29g I got a cleanup package and it had 10 blue leg hermitcrabs and 10 snails. I ended up with only three blue leg hermitcrabs and I had to get rid of them because they started attacking my featherdusters. Now I have 6 or 7 scarlet hermits and they seem to be doing fine with each other and my featherdusters are doing great

Yeah, after posting this I found that scarlets are best, except I think they get a little bigger than I really want. Also if the blue legs ate your feather dusters, then I certainly don't want them. I have a bunch of small ones, and I really enjoy them.

I have alot of little feather dusters(and one large one that is about 7" in diameter) and from my experience i would keep them out of the tank, but I am a beginner and that is just MOP

I am trying my first experience with blue leggs. I will let you know how it goes. I have about 7 or 8 in my 7 gallon. From what I have read it is kinda a hit or miss thing...
