Here are a couple of pics of my blue linkia starfish. He is so neat, he'll just pop up in different places all the time. Tell me what you guys think!

Not at all. Can be very difficult for a begginer to care for this starfish

well i had my star for about 12 months in a 55 and no problem
its always feeding and moving around, so far so good ( why 100 g +?)
as long as the tank is matured imo thats all it needs. :joy:

cc star would be good for beginer, but not with corals. i have an orange linkia in a 55 which is pushing it but i spot feed him pieces of seaweed sheets every once in ahile to make sure food supply is there

In general, they do not do well in smaller tanks. There are exceptions (what do you feed it?), but IN GENERAL I do not suggest them for smaller tanks as MOST will not survive past a year. If they survive the first month (acclimation), many - maybe most - will die in 9-12 months of starvation. Some will make it through that.
They are not easy to care for...but success seems clearly correlated with an increase in tank size and LR (which is thus correlated with more stable water conditions).
Ricks280 - do you still have it? I am interested in what it ate.

Ophiura, yes i still have it in my 55g it seems to feed on algea on the glass panels
it will also get into all the gaps in the live rock and walks all over the coral sand.
the only mistake it has ever done was to wrap it self around the heater ! it has not tried that trick since. i will post a picture soon.
RICK.
