How fast do they multiply if conditions in tank are good?

The blue ones also seem to just pop up in the tank separated from the rest by several inches. I have one growing on the heater in the back of my 10 gal. 7-8 inches from the rest. When I first saw it it looked like a small q-tip sponge now it's 1".

I agree that blues reproduce quickly, and that reds are the slowest. My striped green ones probably are the fastest reproducers in my tanks.

A few months ago I added a rock with 6-7 blue 'shrooms on it...I just walked over and counted heads....27 and more to come. Soon I'll need to ship some off to reefer friends!Below is a pic shortly after I added them...sorry but I don't have a current pic available.

How big should the shrooms be before you to cut one in half to make two?
My largest (the red) is about 3 inches across. My blue, blueberry, and green striped are all about 1 1/2" across.
Am I just impatient wanting to cut them... should I just chill out and let them reproduce on their own. Any additives or suggestions to speed this up?
