Blue Reef Chromis questions

All, I am seriously considering downsizing all my aquariums and consolidating a 240g FOWLR and a 75g DME FOWLR tank to a single middle sized tank (upkeep and water changes are getting to me).
I'm thinking of a 180g or 150g with 1-2 Dragon morays, a Queen Angel, and a lot of smaller fish.
I have only seen 1 Blue Reef Chromis in person and it was a looker.
I thought I had read somewhere that they did not ship well and were not on the arrive alive guarantee.
Are these guys less hardy than regular blue green chromis or damsels?
Any specialized feeding requirements?

The "poor shipper" warning sounds familiar; but I can't remember where I saw it. The "other" big online dealer doesn't have any warning at all. I bought 7 from them (probably about 2002) and they shipped and acclimated well. Katrina got them in 2005 and they were all still thriving. You're right, they are really stunning fish; much more "electric" than other chromis.( more $, too).Mine shoaled quite well most of the time too.

Do you have a potential buyer for your 240????
If not lets play lets make a deal when you are ready.
Will do, wife and I hope to plan a move (sucky economy is the pending factor) to a newer home in a yr or so. When we do I'll be selling my 240g and downsizing. I'll keep my 75g as a QT tank for a short period and after might let it go as well.
I'll keep you in mind.

Yep, I don't see that poor shipper warning anywhere now. But that said my Red Coris is claimed to be a poor shipper and he's a champ and has never even coughed..lol
I like the fact the Blue Reef's get 5" too as they fill up more space. Might even do some 10+ of each and throw in some 4 stripe & Clarkii damsels too.

Easy transaction since we live close by one another.
Tbat would be a gorgeous set up. Those fish have graet coloration.

I ordered mine from SWF last Thursday 03-05-09 and received them in excellent shape on Friday 03-06-09 and acclimated them for 3.hrs and as of today 03-08-09 they are doing well
wish I had of purchased three instead of two, for some reason I thought they would have school together with my three green chromis but that has not happened yet the two stick together
